Marketing
How Can You Contribute To Our Organisation?
I can support with simple administration approach:-
Writing copy and updating your website,
Preparing social media copy and updating
Creating graphics for your social media posts and managing the same…
Or, I can get involved more strategically, planning your marketing approach, leading other team members, training story-telling skills or creation in Canva or Photoshop… Or anything you can you can think of that draws on my skills.
I’m flexible and work to your requirements.

What Experience Do You Have?
Early in my career I was involved with marketing and advertising in other people’s organisations, later, in my own small businesses.
Over the last few years, I’ve also mentored small business owners getting their business started.
… a chance meeting with an artist who asked for help led to me immersing myself in the industry for myself. In a year I launched YouTube channel, self-published a book and developed a digital education platform within a very small niche area of photography. I set myself a question to answer:- what would happen if I didn’t work to the conventional wisdom and tried a different approach?
I interviewed and chatted to people who receive conventional digital marketing materials, worked out what they rejected and then worked to find other ways.
In one year, I achieved over 2000 subscribers on the YouTube channel and gained partner status with YouTube. Filled my first live online workshop, launched a self-directed learning tutorial series for passive income and received multiple speaking invitations and features, including from The Royal Photographic Society and Amateur Photographer magazine.

Practical Project Co-ordination and Management
Whether it’s a grant-funded programme, a campaign or an event, projects need someone keeping the wheels on. I’m practical and hands-on not creating a new mountain of paperwork and complexity but keeping it agile and pragmatic.
I bring decades of experience organising projects of all shapes and sizes. From installing new systems and coordinating across teams to managing funded programmes with reporting deadlines and budgets to track. I’ve done the formal training too, but it’s the years of rolling my sleeves up and getting on with it that make the difference.
My approach is straightforward. Keep it simple, keep it moving, keep people informed. A clear plan, a realistic timeline and honest communication about where things actually are rather than where we hoped they’d be.
Everything in life requires organisation and co-ordination. You might simply want me to co-ordinate your grants pipeline or you maybe be a smaller organisation who would like hands on help developing project ideas to then apply for a grant to support. Or maybe it’s nothing to do with grants at all and you need an extra pair of hands making sure things are getting done on time and on budget…
All these services are part of my retainer work. I don’t separate one thing from another because I believe they are all part of the same thing.
Communication always begins with listening. Not simply absorbing words, but wondering at what is behind them, questioning, reflecting and then building from there. I work reflectively; I’m aware that people differ in who they are and how they think; my anthropology and psychology training helps me recognise individual, cultural and social factors that alter perspective; therefore I’m looking for the gaps and how to bridge them.
If you’d like to have a chat with me about retained services for your organisation, send me an email today to amanda@amandanewell.com with your questions or to suggest a time you’re available for a Zoom or Teams call. There’s never any obligation.
